Back to Village-5 progs: B2V5 prog organised in 84 Panchayats of Ramban distt

Ramban : People from all walks of life participated in Back to Village-5 programmes with great enthusiasm across district Ramban to be part of planning and execution of need based development projects under Area Development Funds and other Government schemes of different sectors.
A number of Senior Officers have reached in their assigned Panchayats with an aim to provide governance to rural populace at their doorsteps, besides facilitating community participation in development process. The fifth phase of the ambitious flagship ‘Back to Village’ (B2V5) public outreach programme was on Thursday set in motion across 84 Panchayats of 11 blocks of Ramban district.
In all the blocks where the programme was rolled out under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, multitude of activities were held in different Panchayats wherein Visiting Officers held interaction with PRIs representatives, frontline government functionaries and prominent citizens. The visiting officers had detailed discussion with them on core issues being faced by the locals and deliberated on ways and means to resolve them.
The Visiting Officer and frontline officials of various departments sensitized the locals about individual beneficiary based schemes and guidelines of government schemes envisaging increase in income of rural populace.
At Panchayat Neera in Block Ramban, Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood and Control, Manoj Gupta interacted with PRIs, held detailed deliberations about realisation of deliverables by different departments, besides taking stock of developmental scenario in the Panchayat. He also inspected developmental works being executed under ADF, PMAY-G and other schemes. He also presided over cultural programmes, Sports activities organized by the local youth and students in the Panchayat.
Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop Development Authority, Sher Singh, on Thursday morning reached Panchayat Upper Sanasar and interacted with the officials of line departments, PRIs and general public, besides listening to grievances of the general public.
District Mineral Officer, Reasi, Rajinder Singh Rana visited Panchayat Partthmulla, Gool and inspected various developmental projects including PMAY work, Water Supply schemes, RDD works, Schools, besides presided over sports activities organized in the Panchayat.
Likewise, Phase-I and Phase-II of Back to Village-5 (B2V5) was held with great enthusiasm across 50 Panchayats of the district.
During the day-long activities, the visiting officer inaugurated various recently completed works including PMAY houses, besides inspected new works under MGNREGA, presided over sports events and conducted inspection of rural assets.
