2-day Gojri writers Conference begins at JKAACL Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) on Tuesday started a 2-Day Gojri writers Conference here in the Academy premises in Jammu.
The Conference was inaugurated in a traditional way by presentation of Gojri Dance by ShaziaChoudhary and Mohammad Rafeeq group. The program began with release of two books written by Abdul HameedKasana and Babar Afzal by Abdul GaniKohli, Former Minister in the presence of IrshadHussainChoudhary, Ahmad Din Shanas, Anil Sehgal and Bharat Singh, Secretary, JKAACL. Internationally renowned artist of J&K, Seema Anil Sehgal was also honoured for her contribution to the field of music.
At the outset, Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL, gave a heartfelt cordial welcome to everyone. While addressing the audience, he said that the gathering shows that how much you love your culture and this is how we can protect our culture. He said that such platforms are very helpful to promote the culture. Cultural Academy as per its mandate can creates occasions for such debates where you can express your thoughts for preservation of your Culture and Language but the basic work is to be done by the writers and people of the community. After thisAbdulGaniJagal presented keynote address on Cultural Heritage of Gujjars.
After this Chief Guest, Anil Sehgal gave his address, in which he praised the efforts of JKAACL in promoting literature and culture of J&K.
In his presidential address, Abdul GhaniKohli appreciated the efforts of JKAACL specially the Secretary Bharat Singh for taking JKAACL to the new heights by organising such literary and cultural activities. He stressed upon the need to encourage new generation of writers to write on various aspects of socio themes.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor Cum cultural Officer, JKAACL presented Vote of thanks .He said that such initiatives will be taken in future also.
After the inaugural session paper reading session was organised in which Mohd. Mansha Khaki and Dr. Abdul Wahid Qadri presented their papers on “Baba Ji Saab LarviGiPoonch Ma Aamad” and “GujjarQoomgiPasmandgiGiWajuhaat”. The session was presided over by GhulamSarvarChouhan and Master Mohd Bashir Poswal.
The paper reading session was followed by Gojri music program. Bashir Ahmad, Mastana, a renowned Gojri singer presented Gojri song in his scintillating voice. After this Razia Ashraf and party, Parveena Jan and party and Tasleema Jan and Party mesmerized the audience by their songs in their melodious voices. The artists were equally supported by the renowned musicians like RakeshAnand on Flute, SahilJasotra on Tabla, Sunil Sharma on Syth and Rakesh Kumar on Octopad.
At the conclusion of the event, Poetry session was held in which following poets presented their poetries RanaAbrar, Saraj-u- din Sani, Sadeeq Ahmad Sadique, Shazia Choudhary, Mohd. Rasheed Qadeeri, Abdul Qayoom Betab, Haji Mohd. Zaman, Mohd. Bashir Khaki, Jan Mohd. Haqeem, Gh. Sarwar Chouhan, Noor MohdMajrooh, Mohd Bashir Lohar and K.D. Maini. The event was conducted by TaeebRaza.
