JAMMU, Nov 7: Vidhi Kumar Birdi has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the region of Kashmir.
This appointment comes alongside the transfer and posting of Vijay Kumar, who will now assume the role of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Law and Order in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
In addition, the officer shall also hold the charge of the post of IGP Armed Kashmir, till further orders, said Jammu and Kashmir Home Department.
