DC Doda chairs introductory cum review meeting

DC Asks for 70% completion of all developmental works by Nov 30

Doda: Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh on Friday chaired an introductory cum review meeting to get information with the district’s developmental team and to assess the progress of upcoming developmental projects. The meeting served as an opportunity for the officers to interact with the new DC and discuss their achievements, challenges, and future plans.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC welcomed all the officials and impressed upon them to get all the approved works physically completed by the 30th of November 2023. He urged to work hard, with dedication and coordination for the inclusive development of the district. He highlighted the importance of teamwork and emphasized the need for effective coordination among all the departments to achieve desired outcomes.
He further reviewed the progress on Mega Projects taken up in the district which include, Government Medical College Doda, National High Altitude Medicinal Plant, Alternate National Highway 244 under execution by NHIDCL, Multi Storey Car Parking at New Bus Stand Doda, Bus Stand Thathri, Shopping Complex Doda, PMGSY roads, JJM, MGNREGA, PMAY, SBM, and other such projects.
He also reviewed the progress on works taken up under the District Capex budget and other schemes. The DC reviewed the progress of ongoing projects and sought updates from the officials regarding their implementation. Sector wise overview of RDD, Elementary Education, Higher Education, Health, Agriculture and allied sectors, PWD, PDD, PHE, FCS&CA Department, Labour and Employment department was taken and officers were asked to remain prepared for the detailed review one by one in coming days. He stressed the need for timely completion of projects and directed the concerned officials to ensure that all necessary resources are made available to expedite the work.
In addition to reviewing ongoing projects, the DC also discussed the challenges faced by the departments and sought suggestions from the officials to overcome them. He encouraged open and honest dialogue, creating an environment of transparency and accountability.
Furthermore, the DC emphasized the importance of citizen engagement and urged the officials to actively involve the PRIs and local communities in the decision-making processes. He highlighted the need to address the grievances and concerns of the residents and ensure their participation in the development initiatives.
The DC encouraged the officials to think creatively and explore new approaches to solve proble He emphasized the significance of innovation in ensuring effective and sustainable development.
The introductory cum review meeting provided a holistic overview of the progress made in various sectors in Doda district. It served as a platform for the officials to discuss their achievements and challenges and find collaborative solutions. The meeting demonstrated the DC’s proactive approach towards effective governance and his commitment to the overall development of the district.
