Secy YSS visits Kulgam, conducts Public durbar, Interacts with PRIs, scores of public delegations, takes stock of their issues

Kulgam: Secretary Youth Services & Sports (YSS), SarmadHafeezon Monday visited Kulgam and chaired a Public Drabar under the ambitious public outreach programme of the government.
DDC Chairperson, Mohammad AfzalParrey; Deputy Commissioner, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat, ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather; DDCs, BDCs besides prominent citizens were present during the camp.
During the darbar, PRI members and DDCs from Frisal, Devsar, D.H.Pora, Behibagh, Kund, Qaimoo and other areas and Blocks demanded children park at Kund, augmentation of sports infrastructure, augmentation of staff at district hospital, release of pending liabilities under MGNREGA, additional quota for PMAY-G, construction of bypass from LaisooDoori bypass, construction of Indoor Stadiums, augmentation of staff at District Hospital and other demands were flagged by PRIs.
A delegation of specially abled persons demanded enhancement in monthly pension and construction of separate sports stadium besides special tournaments for them.
Delegation from Beoparmandal demanded construction of new fruit mandi and truck terminal and development of AamnooShurat Road.
Delegation from ST community demanded construction of Road to Kounsarnag and also appraised the chair about various issues and demands of the people.
While addressing the gathering, SarmadHafeez said that government is committed for holistic development of the J&K and the programme aims to provide doorstep governance to people. He urged youth to avail benefits of various self employment schemes and other welfare services.
He added that the availability of more than 1000 services in online mode has revolutionized the system and induced transparent and prompt mechanism of services delivery.
SarmadHafeez apprised the participants that all the demands were noted and will be taken up with concerned quarters for appropriate action. He added that augmentation of sports infrastructure is a priority and the budget outlay has increased many fold for the purpose and in previous years paly fields and sports structure was developed in large.
He stressed on the importance of assessing the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and urged officers to ensure the benefits reach the targeted sections of society.
Secretary YSS encouraged the public for active participation and maximize the benefits of various schemes, emphasizing on the dedication and sincerity of officers in addressing genuine public grievances within specified time frames.
DDC chairperson on the occasion said that district has witnessed a good progress in development of playfields and urged for further augmentation and facilities in these playfields.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Dr.Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat provided an overview of the district. He added that objective of the programme is to listen the issues of public to record these grievances for redressal.
He said that accountable and transparent administration is main focus of government. He highlighted that district Kulgam has additional 30 online services available on Rehbar- i- Kulgam portal.
