Symposium on  Role of police in Nation Building organized at GDC Chatroo

Kishtwar| Oct, 29: NSS unit of GDC Chatroo, in partnership with the Jammu & Kashmir Police, hosted a thought-provoking symposium on the crucial role of the police in nation-building. The event took place at GDC Chatroo and was graced by distinguished guests and speakers.
Dr. Ved Kumar, the Principal of GDC Chatroo, presided over the event as the Chief Guest where as Shoket Hayat Mattoo, the SDM of Chatroo, and Sandeep Parihar, SHO Chatroo, were the esteemed Guests of Honour on the occasion.
Earlier in his introductory address, SHO Chatroo, Sandeep Parihar, eloquently highlighted the remarkable role and achievements of the police in maintaining law and order , ensuring peace in society, and upholding the values of justice. The symposium featured five student speakers who delved into the depths of the topic, shedding light on the multifaceted role of the police in our society. For their brilliant performances Miss Mujeeba Malik was recognized as the First-place speaker, followed by Amir Hussain in the Second place, and Miss Sangeeta in the Third place. The judging panel comprised eminent faculty members, including Dr. Athar Hussain, Prof. Mussart Mattoo, and Prof. Ajeet Kumar. Later on Shoket Hayat Mattoo, SDM Chatroo, in his address emphasized the significant and indispensable role that the police play in our society, highlighting their contributions to maintaining law and order.
Concluding the event Dr. Ashaq Hussain in his address emphasized that the police serve as a vital pillar of modern society, along with essentials like food, clothing, and shelter. The police act as custodians of law and order, providing protection against untoward incidents he further added.
The event’s proceedings were skillfully managed by Dr. Muddasser Nazar, ensuring a coherent and informative session. Other notable individuals present at the event included Prof. Chander Parkash, NSS Program Officer of the College, Muddasser But, Dr. Haq Nawaz, and Dr. Inamul Haq.
This symposium served as a platform for engaging discussions and insights into the invaluable role that the police force plays in the development and stability of our nation.
