This meeting marked a pivotal moment in the efforts to revitalize and conserve the historical and architectural gems that dot the picturesque landscape of the district. The meeting discussed the restoration of several iconic tourism sites, including Dhanidhar Fort, the historic Chingus Fort, QilaDarhal fort, and the sacred Panj Nara Temple and others.
The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal emphasizing the paramount importance of heritage preservation, asserted that the restoration of these sites stands as a top priority for the government.
Such endeavors are not just about revitalizing stone and mortar but rekindling the narratives of the past and presenting them to future generations. “Our heritage and architectural sites are the living testimony of our cultural heritage, and they deserve to be celebrated,” he said.
The restoration of heritage sites not only holds the promise of attracting tourists and bolstering the local economy but also serves as a tribute to the craftsmanship, history, and stories that these sites encapsulate.
