Rajouri Admin, Distt Police organise Grand Unity Run to Commemorate UT Foundation Day

Rajouri: In a remarkable display of unity and harmony, the District Administration Rajouri, in collaboration with the District Police, hosted a spectacular Unity Run as part of the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Foundation Day celebrations.
The momentous event led participants on a spirited journey from Salani Bus Stand to the Sports Stadium in Kheora, echoing the themes of brotherhood, mutual fraternity, and unity.
The event, which drew enthusiastic participation from diverse segments of society, was led by the Deputy Commissioner VikasKundal.
Among others who joined the Deputy Commissioner were the ADC Rajouri, Rajiv Kumar Khajuria; ASP, VivekShekhar; ACP, SherazChowhan; AD Tourism, Arief Lone; as well as officers from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF), and the dedicated staff and students from Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), showcased the broad-based support for the ideals of unity and inclusivity.
This momentous Unity Run was not merely an event but a symbol of a transformation of the region over the past four years since the establishment of Jammu and Kashmir as a Union Territory. The Jammu and Kashmir administration’s decision to mark October 31 as the ‘Union Territory Foundation Day’ underscores their commitment to highlighting the positive changes that have occurred during this period.
During the event, Deputy Commissioner VikasKundal addressed the enthusiastic crowd, emphasizing the significance of unity, peace, and inclusivity in the region. He highlighted the progress and development that have taken place since the formation of J&K and encouraged all sections of society to continue working together for the betterment of the region.
