Ramban: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan on Saturday presided over an Annual Day celebration of Zia Public School, Gool.
The Chairperson inaugurated a cultural programme in presence of Mohd. Sahfi Giri, BDC Chairperson, Gool, Shakeela Begum, BDC Chairperson, Gundi-Dharm, Javid Manhas, ZEO Gool, MD Nazam Din Zohd, Chairman of Zia Public School, Zia ul Rehman.
Presenting the thrilling performances students mesmerized the audience by presenting a variety cultural show featuring folk dance, songs, and skids besides theme based skits.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson advised the students to adopt skill based subjects and avail the opportunities being provided by the government to shape their future.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson stressed on the need to deal effectively with the threat of drug addiction which is more serious in nature. She also advised students to excel in different fields of education with full spirit and confidence to achieve success.
Later, DDC Chairperson also participated in the inaugural function of a 40 days free cutting and tailoring training course for girls residing in remote areas of Salkund Sangaldan organized by 23 RR in the district.
The Chairperson said this programme has been targeting poor people and the main aim is to get these girls to train so that they get further opportunities.
