Bandipora: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, the Agricultural Department Bandipora Saturday conducted a draw of lots for the selection of beneficiaries in order to establish different units under various income generation schemes.
The program was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner Ali Afsar Khan along with other officers of line departments, besides Chief Agriculture Officer Javid Samoon was also present on the occasion.
The selection process was monitored by the selection & monitoring committee framed by the Chief Agriculture Officer and an officer nominated by District Administration Bandipora.
The selection was done through the Draw of lots method giving due share to SC/ ST, EWS, BPL, and women categories as per the guidelines of the schemes.
On the occasion as many as 93 cases approved in favour of beneficiaries besides 9 projects were also given nod
While congratulating those who got selected, the ADDC reflected on the potential of agriculture practices in providing livelihood opportunities and socio-economic upliftment of the society.
Addressing the young aspiring sheep entrepreneurs, the ADDC emphasized on changing the mindset from ‘job seekers to job providers’.
