Jammu : Police on Thursday said that four vehicles were seized by Police Jammu for being involved in illegal mining activities.
In a tatement issued here on Thursday Police said “In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of Police Station Nagrota and Police Post Phallian Mandal acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area”, adding therein that four vehicles have been seized for being involved in illegal mining.
Police in it’s statement further said that three tractor trolleys without Registration were seized by Police Station Nagrota, One Tipper bearing Registration No JK02DB-7440 by Police Post Phallian Mandal, adding therein that DMO Jammu was also intimated about the actions in which the above vehicles were seized. Stating that recoveries were made by SHO Police Station Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh and I/C Police Post Phallian Mandal Sub Inspector Ajesh Singh Jamwal in their respective jurisdictions, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement said that to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
