Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting of the District Skill Committee, convened to deliberate on the comprehensive Skill Development Plan for the financial year 2023-24.
The meeting brought together various stakeholders committed to the noble cause of empowering unemployed youth in the region through skill enhancement progra
Addressing the committee members, DC emphasized the abundant opportunities available for individuals possessing skills in the current job market. He underscored that the pressing need of the hour is to inspire the unemployed, educated youth of the district to embark on a journey of skill acquisition. He said that this would enable them to become self-sufficient and financially independent.
In a comprehensive overview of the measures initiated by District Administration to bolster youth skill development, the DC directed the officers to take proactive steps to train a maximum number of unemployed youth under various skill development initiatives. He urged that this should be executed with a sense of urgency to bridge the existing skill gap in the region.
The DC encouraged officers to explore innovative methods to nurture the untapped potential of talented young individuals at the grassroots level. This grassroots approach aims to identify and support latent talent in the district and guide them towards skill development opportunities.
DC underscored the importance of aligning skill development programs with market demands. He called upon officers to adapt training curricula to meet the evolving needs of the job market, thus ensuring that the youth are well-prepared for the employment landscape of the future.
