Jammu : Police on Wednesday said that it has seized four vehicles for being involved in illegal mining activities in Chinore area of Jammu city.
In a statement issued on Wednesday a spokesman of Jammu Police said that in a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police, adding therein that police teams of Police Station Gangyal, Police Post Phallian Mandal and Police Post Chinore acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area and seized four vehicles involved in illegal mining.
The Spokesman District Police Jammu further said the vehicles seized by the said police teams include One Dumper without Registration No, two Vehicles i.e One Tractor Trolley bearing Registration No JK02CC-2311 and one Dumper bearing Registration No JK08H-0313, and One Tractor Trolley without Registration No.
“The recoveries were made by SHO Police S Gangyal Inspr Ajay Singh Chib, I/C Police Post Phallian Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal and I/C Police Post Chinore PSI Rajesh Kumar in their respective jurisdiction”, reads the Police statement, adding that “DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same”.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement the Police Spokesman of District Police Jammu said “the mining was done in violation of order of J&K High Court and to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
