The Chief Agriculture Officer, Zonal Agricultural Officer, Block Development Officer, PRIs, farmers & other Panchayat level officials actively participated in all these activities.
The Agriculture Department educated the people about the benefits and returns of farming, as well as how it may help them become self-sufficient.
Highlighting the importance of GI tagging with the block having enormous potential in the agriculture sector, the farmers were asked to avail the benefit from such programmes.
A workshop explaining the latest environmentally friendly cultivation techniques was also conducted. Besides, the farmers were provided information about the different agricultural schemes like PM Fasal Bima Yojana, PM Kissan Yojana, etc.
Meanwhile, exhibitions of different locally produced agricultural & horticultural farm products like Maize, Walnuts, Chilly, Mint, Coriander, etc also were held.
A specific emphasis was placed on exploiting Gobardhan and Bio Agro resources. Different farming tools were also displayed during the programme and the farmers were trained regarding their use.
The farmers were very happy to witness these tools which not only save time & energy but also money.
Awareness on how Gobar Dhan will positively impact village cleanliness & generate wealth & energy from cattle and organic waste was also imparted to farmers. Emphasis was laid on to motivate farmers of the Block to practice Organic Farming so the use of Fertilizers, etc could be minimized.
