DC reviews progress of Jal Jeevan Mission Schemes in Rajouri

Work on 244 prestigious projects underway

Rajouri: In pursuance to the government’s commitment to provide clean drinking water to rural communities, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal chaired a pivotal meeting to assess the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission schemes.
In this crucial gathering, Deputy Commissioner Kundal underscored the utmost importance of top-notch work quality, on-time project completion and vigilant supervision to meet the goals of the mission. The meeting highlighted significant strides already achieved in Rajouri, where 293 JJM schemes have been green-lit and 244 schemes are actively underway.
To expedite scheme completion, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal issued a resolute directive to officers to adopt a result-oriented approach and adhere strictly to predefined timelines. With unwavering dedication and concerted efforts, the mission is rapidly transforming into a reality, promising a healthier and happier life for the region’s residents.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the imperative of embracing a holistic water management approach. It’s not merely about providing access to clean drinking water; it’s equally about preserving and sustainably harnessing this vital resource.
This meeting serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the District Administration to implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission effectively, ensuring that rural areas gain access to this basic necessity – clean drinking water.
In essence, this meeting provided a constructive platform for officers to share their experiences, exchange innovative ideas, and collaboratively tackle challenges in executing the Jal Jeevan Mission. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal rallied them to persist with dedication and unwavering commitment in achieving the objectives of the mission.
The meeting was attended by the CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE Hydraulics, Bharam Jyoti Sharma; XEN Jal Shakti Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma; XEN Jal Shakti Nowshera, Vipin Kumar, and other officers.
