Massive blaze renders 17 families homeless in Parimpora

Srinagar : Emotional scenes were witnessed in Srinagar’s Parimpora after a massive blaze rendered 17 families homeless in Parimpora area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
Pertinently, the residential sheds caught fire on Monday in Parimpora, rendering 17 families homeless.
The victim families said that the fire has devastated their lives, and nothing has been left with them.
The fire broke out during the night, and they couldn’t react as they were under stress and depression. “We have been living here in the sheds for a long time, and the fire incident has now completely changed our lives, rendering us homeless,” said one of the victims.
“Nothing has remained with us now; all our belongings, clothes, and everything were gutted in the blaze. Now, we are requesting the authorities to provide some assistance to them so that they can start fresh,” they added.
The victims have appealed people to help them at this juncture, asking them to contact on 9596378530 to get further details for the assistance.
Amidst the emotional scenes witnessed in Srinagar, the district administration of Srinagar provided immediate assistance to the fire victims of Parimpora Ghat.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, a team of district administration, Srinagar, visited Parimpora locality in Shalteng Tehsil where 17 residential sheds were gutted in a fire incident on Sunday.
On the occasion, the team provided immediate assistance to the fire victims of 17 families, residing in the residential sheds which got damaged in a massive fire incident.
The team assessed the damages caused due to the fire incident and expressed sympathy on behalf of the district administration Srinagar with the affected families on the loss of property.
On the occasion, the immediate assistance in the form of 85 blankets, 51 mattresses, 51 bed sheets, 17 kitchen sets, four tents, and 17 tarpaulins, in addition to Rs 85,000, were also provided to all 17 affected families, each receiving Rs 5000 from the Red Cross of District Administration Srinagar
