Srinagar: Government forces today launched a search operation in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, where militants killed a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan and injured four others at Hajin on September 27 night.
Official sources said Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation in Hajin early this morning following a tip off about the presence of militants.
Security forces sealed all exit points and are conducting searches, sources said adding so far no contact was established with the militants.
A BSF jawan Ramzan Parray was killed and his father, two brothers and aunt were injured in a militant attack in his house at Parray house Hajin on September 27.
However, the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness after the incident though security forces immediately launched a search operation.
Police said foreign militant of Lashkher-e-Toiba (LeT) are involved in the incident.
