Never forget that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was the last messenger of Allah Almighty and entire humanity has been blessed by his birth. Henceforth the day related to his birth is of great significance for muslims across the world. On this special say day, muslims throng mosques to show their love and devotion towards Prophet (SAW) as this day is all about remembering and following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Like muslims in other parts of the world the muslims in Jammu & Kashmir also participate in congregational prayers to show their love and devotion towards Prophet Muhammad (SAW) at the mosques and revered shrines. On this special day, the muslims promise themselves more devotedly to follow the Sunnah of their beloved Prophet (SAW) because it is a fact that their successes and achievements are hidden only in following their Prophet’s teachings. In Jammu & Kashmir the muslim clerics and scholars during night long prayers in the mosques and shrines on this special day significantly shed light on the different aspects of Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and they explain it to the worshipers of Almighty Allah that being a Muslim and true follower of Prophet(SAW) how important it is to follow his Sunnah. As muslims observe the day across the world, they vow to relive the legacy the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) including the one that goes beyond the simple spreading of faith and the other one concerning brotherhood, equality and peaceful co-existence between all communities.

“Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is a role model for all of us and as such his teachings work as a beacon of light in the darkness, not only for the Muslim community but whole humanity. This source of light and guidance can lead us towards the righteous path, which is the true path of Almighty Allah the most beneficent and the most merciful”.

Muslims have not to forget the huge impact Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has had on the lives of millions, on the imaginations of the generations that followed his propagation of Islam. Islam literally means peace and therefore has no place for violence and intolerance in the lives of muslims. The solemn pledge for this year’s Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi (SAW) should be cultivating and practicing tolerance, avoiding conflicts, establishing peace, and living in harmony with people of other faiths in accordance with the spiritual wisdom of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is a role model for all of us and as such his teachings work as a beacon of light in the darkness, not only for the Muslims but for the whole humanity. This source of light and guidance can lead us towards the path of righteousness, which is the true path of Almighty Allah the most beneficent and the most merciful and shown to us by Prophet (SAW).
