DC B’gam takes stock of progress of JJM works in Charar-i-Sharief, Pakherpora, B’pora areas of Chadoora

Budgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Wednesday conducted extensive tour of Charar-i-Sharief, Pakherpora and Badipora to take review of various ongoing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works.
During the visit, DC inspected pace of work on various ongoing JJM projects and took stock of work progress of Zaloosa WSS, Kamzipora- Kanigam WSS and Badipora WSS in Charar-i-Sharief and Pakherpora areas.
He instructed concerned agencies to ensure pace of work is expedited to ensure speedy construction of Filtration plants, SRs and other related works at all three projects to ensure adequate water supply to all required villages.
Akshay stressed that work on all JJM projects be carried out in full swing without any delay for their timely utilization for the convenience of the general public.
He said that various JJM projects are nearing completion which shall ensure adequate tap water supply to many villages in the district.
He also said that under JJM all existing water resources shall be tapped at local level to ensure better drinking water facility to all households in rural areas.
The DC was accompanied by SDM Chadoora, Executive Engineers of various engineering wings, Tehsildar and other concerned.
