Eid-Milad Un-Nabi preparations finalised in Udhampur

Udhampur: A meeting of district officers and prominent citizens was convened on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Saloni Rai here in the Mini Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to finalize arrangements for the Eid-Milad Un-Nabi.
Senior Superintendent Police, Dr Vinod Kumar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia and other officers along with prominent citizens attended the meeting.
The meeting held extensive discussions on various aspects of the Eid-Milad Un-Nabi celebration, including ensuring water supply, uninterrupted power supply, price checks, security measures, traffic regulation, sanitation, and medical facilities.
In terms of traffic management, both the District police and Traffic Departments were instructed to streamline traffic arrangements for the convenience of devotees across the district during the Milad days.
Furthermore, the Health Department was tasked with ensuring the availability of medicines, doctors, and ambulances near identified shrines and mosques.
Directives were issued to concerned departments to guarantee uninterrupted water and power supply on the auspicious occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for close coordination and synergy among various departments to ensure adequate arrangements and the successful celebration of the festival.
