Jammu: Police on Monday said that two different theft cases were on Monday solved by Police Post Chinore Jammu.
In a statement issued by District Police Jammu Police said that a written complaint got registered at Police Post Chinore by one Sameer Kalla S/o Jawahar Lal R/o Durga Nagar Bantalab, regarding theft of his Scooty bearing Registration No JK02BU-5333 from Durga Nagar area under the jurisdiction of PP Chinore.
Stating that on receiving the said complaint a case vide FIR No 293/2023 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana, Police in it’s statement said that special police teams of Police Station Domana led by SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor assisted by SHO Police Station Domana Inspr. Kunal Singh Jamwal and I/C Police Post Chinore Police Sub Inspector Rajesh Kumar did strenuous efforts and with the help of various CCTV footages of the area police teams finally arrested the accused person identified as Rahul Pandita S/o Late Chunk Lal Pandita R/o Jagti Quater Nagrota A/P Santra Mood Pounichack , Police in it’s statement further said that on the discloser of the said accused the stolen vehicle bearing Registration No JK02BU- 5333 was recovered from him.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that another written complaint was registered by Swami Divyanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj) President (DSNS) Pracheen Shiv Mandir, Kailash Ashram Chinore P/O. Roop Nagar, Teh./Distt. Jammu, regarding theft in the temple premises area under the jurisdiction of Police Post Chinore, adding therein that a case vide FIR No. 278/2023 U/S 457/380 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation was subsequently initiated.
Stating that special police teams of Police Post Chinore led SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor assisted by SHO Police Staion Domana Insp. Kunal Singh Jamwal and I/C Police Post Chinore Police Sub Inspector Rajesh Kumar did strenuous efforts , Police in it’s statement further said that police teams finally arrested the accused persons namely Sameer Hussain S/o Mubashir Hussain R/o Liyan Teh.Bunjewh Distt. kishtwar A/P Indra Nagar and Jitu gounda S/o Santosh gounda R/o Orissa A/P Rehari Jammu and on their discloser the stolen cash along with Motorcycle used for commission of crime was recovered from them.
Police in the concluding para of it’s statement also said that the accused namely Jitu Gounda was arrested from Srinagar and accused person namely Sameer Hussain is already in judicial custody and is lodged at District Jail, adding therein that further investigation of the case is going on.
