Jammu: Police on Monday said that in a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of Police Station Nagrota, Police Station Akhnoor , Police Post Phallain Mandal and Police Post Sidhra acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at locations in their respective areas during which six vehicles involved in illegal mining were seized.
Sharing the details of the vehicles seized the District Police Jammu in a statement issued here on Monday said that while one Tractor Trolley without Registration Nos was seized by Police Station Nagrota, One tractor trolley bearing Registration No JK02CS 0346 was seized by Police Station Akhnoor, One Tractor trolley bearing chasis no. MBNBG55AENCD3398, by Police Post Phallain Mandal, three vehicles including One Tractor Trolley bearing Chassis No MBNAK49AHPTG09293, one dumper bearing Registration No JK02CU 7653 and one tipper bearing Registration No JK02CM 6677, by Police Post Sidhra.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that the recoveries were made by SHO Police Station Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh , SHO Police Station Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, IC Police Post Phallain Mandal Police Sub Inspector Ajesh Singh Jamwal and I/C Police Post Sidhra Police Sub Inspector Arun Kumar in their respective jurisdiction, adding therein that DMO Jammu was also intimated about action. Police in it’s statement reiterated that mining was done in violation of order of J&K High Court, adding therein that to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
