2nd Supplement to Panchayat Electoral Rolls: DC B’pora visits special camps held across the distt

Bandipora : District Election Officer Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad along with a team of officials Saturday visited different Polling Booth Locations across the district to oversee the ongoing preparation of the Second Supplement to the Panchayat Electoral Rolls.
During the visit, the DC took stock of the progress of work of special camps being held across different Polling Booths of the district, including panchayats of Gund-i-Qaisar, Chek Arsla Khan and Nadihal.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that, special camps have been organized in every panchayat across the district for the verification and rectification besides supplementing the electoral rolls, thus promoting transparency and participation in the electoral process.
The camps are being held by Panchayat Election Booth Officials, Assembly BLOs under the supervision of concerned BDOs and EROs/Observers.
Speaking about the importance of the initiative, the DC stated, that the accuracy of the electoral rolls is fundamental to the integrity of our democratic process. He said that the district administration will ensure that no eligible voter is left out and that the electoral rolls are free from errors.
The DC also urged people to actively participate in the ongoing verification process by visiting these camps, which are conveniently located in their respective Panchayats. He emphasized that their cooperation is crucial in making the electoral rolls as comprehensive and accurate as possible.
