Doda: To assess the public issues, demands and grievances, Block Diwas cum public outreach programs were held on Wednesay in parts of Doda district.
The district administration listened to the public about their genuine issues, demands and grievances. The concerned line departments were directed to intervene and resolve the public issues, demands and grievances at an earliest.
The block diwas program was at Panchayat Ghar Nalthi, Block Bhaderwah, Sub District Bhaderwah; Panchayat Trithloo, Tehsil Bhalessa, Sub Division Gandoh; PWD Guest House Baggar, Sub Division Assar and Community Hall Bhella, Tehsil Bhella, Sub Division Thathri.
During the long day proceedings of the block diwas at these places, a number of issues, demands and grievances were addressed The main highlighted matters raised during the public outreach program were the shortage of water and electricity supply, installation of electric poles, installation of new and up-gradation of old transformers, construction of school buildings, road connectivity, blacktopping of roads, opening of health services centres, Anganwari centres, seed collection centres and much more.
The PRIs, Sarpanchs, panches and BDC Chairpersons led public delegations during the public outreach program. The block divas program was attended by a large gathering of the local people to project their genuine demands in front of the district officer, and the same were taken up for early disposal.
The block divas event held at PWD Guest House Baggar, Sub Division Assar witnessed a large gathering. They raised a range of issues and grievances, which were disposed of by the concerned officers and officials on the spot in presence of SDM Lekh Raj and tehsildar Fareed Ahemed.
Weekly block divas event was also held at panchayat Ghar Nalthi block Bhadewah was presided over by the ADC Bhadewah Dilmir Choudhary and BDC Chairperson Omi Chand.
The block divas program at Panchayat Trithloo, Tehsil Bhalessa, Sub Division Gandoh and Community Hall Bhella, Tehsil Bhella, were also attended by a large gathering of the local people who raised their genuine issues and grievances. The block divas event at Panchayat Trithloo, Tehsil Bhalessa, Sub Division Gandoh was chaired by the SDM Ashraf Pervez.
Gulshan Kumar, Tehsildar Bhella, and other officers remained present in block Diwas held at community hall Bhella. A mega rally regarding the celebration of Meri Maati Mera Desh was also organised in tehsil Bhellesa.
