Kishtwar admin gears up to host Warwan Festival- 2023

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav on Wednesday briefed the press on the much anticipated Warwan Festival being hosted amid the picturesque valley of Waran.
Talking to media persons here in his Office Chamber, Dr. Devansh Yadav commended the resounding success of last year’s Warwan Festival, orchestrated under the adept guidance of the local administration. The festival proved to be a remarkable endeavor, as it beckoned tourism enthusiasts to embark on an exploration of the unspoiled natural wonders hidden within the remote expanses of the Warwan area.
Acknowledging the overwhelming response and enthusiasm exhibited by attendees, Dr. Devansh Yadav announced a pivotal partnership. The Directorate Tourism Jammu has pledged its unwavering support, cementing the Warwan Festival as an annual highlight, a collaborative initiative between the Directorate and the steadfast district administration of Kishtwar.
Dr. Devansh Yadav extended an enthusiastic invitation to both local residents and visitors from across J&K to partake in this year’s edition of the Warwan Festival, scheduled on the upcoming weekend, specifically on the 23rd and 24th of September 2023.
During the press briefing, the Deputy Commissioner also observed that Warwan Festival holds strategic significance as it draws tourists from both the Anantnag side of Kashmir and the Kishtwar District, promising them a deeply satisfying experience amidst its natural wonders.
While giving details, the DC Kishtwar informed that Renowned vocalists Kabul Bukhari and Naseem Ul Haq are all set to captivate festival-goers with their mesmerizing performances. In addition to these musical delights, adventure enthusiasts will have the chance to partake in thrilling activities such as river rafting and trekking. For those seeking culinary delights, an array of food courts offering delectable local cuisine promises to tantalize the taste buds of festival visitors.
With an array of exciting events planned during these two captivating days, the festival promises an enticing opportunity for avid tourism and adventure enthusiasts. Attendees will have the privilege of immersing themselves in the serene beauty of lush meadows, tranquil rivers, and the heartwarming climate of the high-altitude heaven that is the Warwan region of the Kishtwar district.
