Union Secy L&E visits B’gam, inspects ongoing works at ESIC Hospital; Inspects ESIC health facility at Sonwar

Budgam: Union Secretary Labour and Employment (L&E), Arti Ahuja on Wednesday visited Budgam and inspected the ongoing works on Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital at SIDCO Industrial Complex, Ompora, here on Wednesday.
During the visit, the Union Secretary inspected various development works under execution in the premier health facility. Interacting with the officers on the occasion, the Secretary highlighted that this facility will cater to the medical needs of insured persons and their families.
The Secretary further remarked that Union Government is committed for providing better healthcare facilities across J&K and many progressive initiatives have been undertaken in the field of health sector to ensure best healthcare facilities are being provided to the people.
She further said that the government has taken various milestone steps for the welfare and progress of labour class to uplift their socio-economic conditions
Meanwhile, the Secretary also visited ESIC health facility Sonwar and reviewed it’s functioning.
Interacting with the medical officers and paramedical staff on the occasion, the Secretary emphasised upon them to provide best health care to the people.
Later on, the Union Secretary also visited the regional Employees Provident Fund Office (EPFO) office at Batamaalo and chaired a meeting to review the status of transitory activities of JKEPFO to Central Provident Fund Organisation.
During her visit, the Union Secretary was accompanied by Secretary, Labour & Employment Rehana Batul; Chief Executive Officer, J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Munir ul Islam; Labour Commissioner, J&K, Abdul Rashid War; Director Employment, Nisar Ahmad Wani and other senior officers of the department.
