Baramulla: The under 17 boys’ competition, which began with great excitement and enthusiasm yesterday as part of week-long Inter District Provincial level competition, culminated on Wednesday with district Baramulla emerging victorious.
A total of 10 districts from the Kashmir province participated, showcasing their talent and determination. Districts Baramulla, Bandipora, Ganderbal, and Kupwara earned their places in the semi-finals after intense battles on the field.
In the semi-finals, Baramulla triumphed over Kupwara, securing their spot in the final, while Bandipora secured their place by defeating Ganderbal in a fiercely contested match.
The final match between Baramulla and Bandipora was a true spectacle, with Baramulla emerging as champions with a remarkable 19 goals to Bandipora’s 08 thereby winning by a margin of 11 goals.
During the prize ceremony winners and runners-up were given trophies and certificates.
Meanwhile, the excitement shall continue tomorrow with the under 19 boys’ competition set to take place at the same venue.
