Poonch: Deputy Commissioner Yasin M. Choudhary on Tuesday inspected the newly shifted Government Girls Pahari Hostel in Kamsar, Poonch.
The hostel, previously located near SK Bridge, has been relocated to a rented building in an effort to provide improved living conditions to the inmates.
The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tahir Mustaafa Malik, Tehsildar Haveli, Anjum Bashir Khan Khattak, and AD Handloom/Handicraft, who is temporarily holding the additional charge of Warden for the Government Girls Pahari Hostel, Shazia Rehman.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the newly rented building and interacted with the hostel inmates.
During the visit, it was revealed that the previous building of the Government Girls Pahari Hostel was in dilapidated condition and was deemed unfit for accommodating the inmates.
Recognizing the urgent need for improved facilities, the decision was made to shift the hostel to a new building.
Speaking about the relocation, Deputy Commissioner Yasin M. Choudhary stated, “The condition of the previous building of the Government Girls Pahari Hostel was so bad that it was not fit for inmates. Hence, we have taken the necessary steps to ensure the well-being of the hostel residents by relocating them to this new building.”
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner assured the hostel inmates that their needs and requirements would be met. Two LED screens will be provided for the hostel, and any other additional requirements will be fulfilled.
The Deputy Commissioner also issued necessary direction to the concerned authorities to ensure the provision of better facilities for the hostel residents.
