Dev Works at Shrine of Baba Hanief-U-Din Reshi at Rathsun reviewed

Budgam: DDC Chairperson, Nazir Khan and Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam Akshay Labroo conducted joint extensive tour of Beerwah to take on spot stock of ongoing developmental projects.
President Municipal Council Beerwah, Nazir Ahmad, SDM Beerwah, Taufiq A Gazi were also present on the occasion.
During the tour, the foundation stone for Rs. 2.19 Crore Gandipora Water supply Scheme and inauguration stone of access infrastructure at Bhairava Cave, Beerwah of Abhinav Gupt was unveiled.
These projects were recently e- launched by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha during a function at Rajbhawan Srinagar.
During the extensive tour, the DC also visited the Shrine of Baba Hanief-U-Din Reshi at Rathsun and reviewed the ongoing developmental works at the Shrine. He also visited Jamia Masjid Beerwah and also paid his obeisance at Bhairava Cave site.
DDC Chairman, Nazir Ahmad Khan who spoke on the occasion expressed his gratitude to the Honourable LG Administration for paying special focus to the Beerwah and for sanctioning multiple development projects for the people of Beerwah.
He said that District Administration Budgam has been extending its full support in seeing these projects completed in time and ensuring holistic development of Beerwah.
The DC, who spoke on the occasion and said Beerwah has tremendous potential for pilgrimage tourism and sites including Shrine of Baba Hanief-U-Din Reshi and Bhairava Cave are best locations to be developed as pilgrimage tourism sites for their heritage and landscape values.
He said LG Administration recently laid foundation stones and inaugurated various developmental projects for district Budgam virtually and on Saturday we are going to unveil few of these projects physically in Beerwah.
During tour, the DC emphasised on speedy work completion of all ongoing developmental projects, including facade development, lavatory complex at the Shrine of Baba Hanief-U-Din , beautification, side- rallying and pending stairs accessibility at Bhairava Cave, development of heritage sites, roads, brides, Filtration plants and other projects be carried out in time for their timely dedication to the general public.
He said that he is happy to know that tourists have already started visiting Bhairava Cave Beerwah and hoped that an increase in tourist footfall would enhance the livelihood opportunities of locals.
The DC also met various public delegations at multiple locations and listened to their demands.
He assured that all genuine demands of the public shall be addressed on priority.
Members from various sectors belonging to Beerwah also met DC and expressed their gratitude for timely work execution of developmental projects.
