Ramban: District Administration sensitized the people during Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K week to report corruption related incidents to concerned quarters, especially on J&K Grievance Cell (JKIGRAMS) portal of the Lieutenant Governor office and other digital mode of communication for its quality disposal and real time information, said Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam while addressing a press conference regarding weeklong Bhrashtachar Mukt campaign which ended on Saturday.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the District Administration issued a calendar of more than 600 events and activities to be organized at Panchayat to district levels during Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K week starting on September 4, 2023.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the main objective to celebrate Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K week was to promote zero tolerance against all means of corruption in the system and society as well. He said “Two important campaigns Digital J&K Week and Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K week were conducted simultaneously which are complimentary in the sense that both stress on hassle free and corruption free services to people at their doorsteps.”
The Deputy Commissioner informed that during the camps organized as part of Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K week at District, Sub-division, Tehsil, Block and Panchayat level received overwhelming response from the people of all walks of life. He said all the departments focused on grievances redressal and implementation of online services to create a corruption free atmosphere in the Government departments and other stakeholder institutions.
Informing the pressmen about a series of activities organized by the various departments under the supervision of additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal who is also the District Vigilance Officer, the DC urged PRIs, especially general public to take lead and join hands with the Government to wipe out corruption at all levels from the society.
He said that around fifteen thousand people participated in the programme held under Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K across the district as on September 8, 2023.
Highlighting the steps taken by the administration to implement the Public Services Guarantee Act, the DC said that with the shift of all office works on digital platforms, the quality of public service delivery has been improved besides controlling the chances of manipulation and corruption in the system.
