Doda: As part of Digital Week and Bhrastachar Mukat Jammu and Kashmir campaign, awareness activities are being held in every administrative unit of the district to empower the general public by extending Good Governance.
In an initiative led by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, the “Bhrastachar Mukat Jammu and Kashmir Week” is being observed from 4th of September to 10th of September, 2023. The week-long campaign aims to promote transparency and accountability in governance across the country.
Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan, the district administration organized a program in the Conference Hall of the DC office on Tuesday. The objective was to raise awareness about the menace of corruption and the way it is hurting human society.
Moreover, ADDC, Pran Singh and SSP, Abdul Qayoom, convened a meeting in the conference hall of the DC office complex to sensitise the officers and officials about the campaigns. In his address, SSP emphasized that corruption often begins at lower levels with small-scale and brings mortification to the whole department and the administration. He stressed the importance of tackling corruption collectively.
The ADDC spoke about the menace of corruption and encouraged officers and officials to actively participate in raising public awareness during the week.
Marking a significant moment, SSP Doda led a pledge, joined by district officers and officials, committing to combat corruption in all forms. The pledge reinforced the government’s commitment to eradicating corruption from the system.
Similar pledge ceremonies were organised in all the government offices and educational institutions across the district. Special Gram Sabhas were also organised to spread the message of the Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K.
Meanwhile, Government institutions and schools across the region are actively participating in the “Bhrastachar Mukat Jammu and Kashmir” celebrations. Corruption is likened to a cancer that erodes the faith of common people in democracy.
