Johannesburg: The BRICS Parliamentary Forum will take place in the South African city of Johannesburg, most likely in October, South African Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor said on Friday.
“Around the end of this year, we will have the BRICS Parliamentary Forum, which will take place in Johannesburg in October, I think,” Pandor told Radio Ubuntu.
BRICS — the group uniting the world’s largest developing economies, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — held its annual top-level summit in Johannesburg from Tuesday to Thursday. On Thursday, Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were officially invited to join the group.
