DC reviews progress of Jal Jeevan Mission works in Udhampur Distt

Udhampur :: To review the progress of works being executed under Jal Jeevan Mission in the District, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Saloni Rai convened a meeting of officers and field functionaries of Jal Shakti Department here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
At the outset, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department, Ashok Kumar Sharma briefed the chair about the status of allotment and progress of JJM Works in the district.
The DC took detailed review of Sub Division wise progress of allotment of works including development of Rapid Sand filtration plant, laying of pipelines, besides securing of forest clearance, revenue realisation, total expenditure and other related procedures.
The XEN Mechanical along with his team, project manager DPMU, IEC coordinator, AEEs of Udhampur and Ramnagar were also present.
The stakeholder departments were directed to maintain close coordination and to work with dedication and honesty to complete all the ongoing works/schemes in a time bound manner. The DC stressed on close monitoring of ongoing works to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
Concerned officers were directed to start IEC activities on mission mode to generate mass awareness about Water Conservation and activate Paani Samitis in their respective areas. She stressed on gearing up all resources to speed up the progress on execution of all the works and their timely completion.
