Jammu: District Magistrate Sachin Kumar Vaishya, on Wednesday chaired a meeting of Tehsildars across all Tehsils of the district here in his office.
The DM commended them for their past accomplishments and inspired them to focus on all broad sectors of district administration. He asked them to put in concerted efforts to make developmental accomplishments accessible to the public, solve their grievances while ensuring enforcement of the rule of law in accordance with their magisterial capacity.
The District Magistrate motivated them to carry out their duties with fairness and moral rectitude and asked them to pay special attention to the maintenance of revenue records. They were also instructed to take strict action against corruption wherever it may manifest in the system.
The District Magistrate urged Tehsildars to be proactive, responsive, efficient and transparent in resolving people’s grievances.
The meeting was also attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Chander; Additional Deputy Commissioner (L&O), Harvinder Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sandeep Seointra; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Piyush Dhotra, besides Tehsildars.
Later, the DC along with the entire team of officers of the DC office witnessed and celebrated the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon.
