Talking to reporters on the sidelines of an official event in Srinagar the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir VK Bidhuri said that we have 100 buses in plan which will ply under Smart City Project. He said the first lot of smart buses will start operating from August 31 this year. “We have already put in place a red color smart bus on trial basis. From August 31 this year, the smart buses will be brought on roads on a larger scale,” Divisional Commissioner Bidhuri said .
He said this endeavour will overpower the inadequacy of transport services during evening hours in the city and peripheries. “We have constructed new bus stops at several places. We hope this effort under Smart City Project will be a game changer in coming times,” he added
