“Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign: Police organises events in various police establishments across valley

Srinagar : As a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Police on Thursday organised various events to observe “Meri Maati Mera Desh-Mitti Ko Naman Veroon Ka Vandan” a nationwide campaign, which commenced yesterday, at various Police establishments across the Kashmir valley. The events include plantation drives & Tiranga rallies as part of campaign.
In Shopian, Police observed Panch Praan Pledge ceremony across the district. The main function was held at DPL Shopian where SSP Shopian Ms Tanushree-IPS administered oath to the police officers/ officials at DPL Shopian. In Kulgam, Police organized special march across the district. The event, aimed at honouring the dedication and sacrifice of our valiant heroes. In Anantnag, Police organised different programs in order to instil a sense of national pride and inspire future generations to protect India’s cherished heritage are being organised.
In Awantipora, Police organized “Panch Pran Pledge” ceremonies at Police Station Awantipora, Police Station Tral & Police Post Aripal. The main function was held at DPL Awantipora where SSP Awantipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS read out the pledge. After the pledge ceremony, plantation drives were also carried out by planting various saplings. Moreover, multiple Tiranga March rallies at Police Station Pampore, Police Station Khrew, Police Post Reshipora were organized in which PRIs, Students, general Public, youth, religious leaders from different areas of Police District besides, officers/ officials of concerned Sub Divisional Police Offices, Police Stations, Police Posts participated.
In Baramulla, Police organised Plantation Drive in all Police establishments across the district in which SDPOs/ SHOs/ IC PPs and police personnel of District Police Baramulla participated. In Bandipora, Police organised plantation drive at PS Bandipora where DIG NKR Baramulla Vivek Gupta-IPS accompanied by SSP Bandipora started the plantation drive.
In Ganderbal, Police organised various programmes to honour the brave freedom fighters & Bravehearts who sacrificed their lives for the country. Tiranga rally was also held to spread awareness about our National Flag. The rally was flagged off by SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar-IPS in which the students and the youth of district Ganderbal participated enthusiastically. In Sopore, Police organized Tiranga rally which was led by SSP Sopore Shabir Nawab-JKPS accompanied by SDPO Sopore, officers from CRPF 179 BN, other officers and jawans of district police Sopore. Similar rallies were also organised at all police units of the Police District Sopore in collaboration with various educational institutions and civil societies.
