Public outreach prog held across Doda under Weekly Block Diwas

DC interacts with locals, PRIs in Gatha Park; seeks active public participation in Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign, inclusive development

Doda: To reach out to the people and to address their grievances, District Administration Doda is holding Block Diwas programmes at different locations especially in the far off areas regularly.
This Wednesday, the block diwas was held at Lake View Resort- Gatha Park (Fish Pond) Bhaderwah, Block and Sub District Bhaderwah; Block Office Chilly Pingal (Panchayat Chilly Pain), Sub Division Gandoh; Panchayat Ghar Ganhota, Tehsil and Sub Division Assar; and Community Hall Prem Nagar, Opposite Prem Nagar Mandir, Sub Division Thathri.
Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan, along with ADC Bhaderwah, Chowdhary Dil Mir and other officers listened to the public issues at the Grievances Redressal camp at Gatha Park in Bhaderwah, alongside the launch of Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign.
A large gathering of PRIs and local people presented their demands pertaining to Social Welfare Department, Agriculture Department, RDD, Education, PWD, BDA, and other such departments. DC and ADC Bhaderwah assured the public of timely resolution of the public grievances put forth in the camp.
The DC urged the public to participate actively in the ongoing Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign and celebrate this year Independence Day in honour of Freedom fighters and Martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for national cause.
He said that the Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign aims to make people realise their duties and motivate them to value freedom while remembering the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and martyrs. He informed that similar kinds of programmes shall be held at each panchayat and municipalities where local heros ( Martyrs ) will be remembered. He also informed about the Maati Yatra and other important events being scheduled under Meri maati Mera Desh, and urged the people especially youth to participate with pride and exuberantly in the campaign and take the ‘Panch Prana’ Pledge for the coming 25 years of Amrit Kaal and for raising the India, our motherland to its highest place and make India a Vishva Guru.
At all other designated locations, the daylong Block Diwas proceedings were witnessed. Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues/ demands. The Block Divas program at panchayat ghar Ganhota was presided over by SDM Lekh Raj who listened to the public and directed the concerned officers and officials to dispose of the raised issues and grievances at earliest. At Block Office Chilly Pingal (Panchayat Chilly Pain), Sub Division Gandoh, the public outreach program was attended by large gathering and the program was presided over by the SDM Gandoh Ashraf Pervez who listens to the public and directed the concerned officers to disposed off the raised issues and grievances at the earliest.
The block diwas program at community hall Prem Nagar also witnessed the large gathering of the local inhabitants who raised issues and grievances in front of concerned department
They demanded augmentation of water supply and electricity, macadamization of roads, meeting dearth of staff in schools and hospitals, upgradation of schools, banking facilities in rural areas, release of pending wages under MGNREGA etc.
The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave patient hearing to the issues and demands and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest possible time.
