B’pora’s Gund Qaisar Village achieves ‘Har Ghar Jal’ milestone

Bandipora: In a magnificent achievement, Gund Qaisar Village in Bandipora district has successfully achieved the ambitious ‘Har Ghar Jal’ goal, ensuring 100% tap water supply to all 226 households, schools, and anganwadis within its boundaries.
This milestone was officially announced by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad. He appreciated the collaborative efforts and commitment of the local administration, government agencies and the residents of Gund Qaisar Village.
The DC said that ‘Har Ghar Jal’ (Water to Every Home) is a pivotal initiative to provide access to clean and safe drinking water to every rural household across the nation. The successful implementation of this mission in Gund Qaisar Village proves the commitment of District Administration and Government of India, he added.
Dr Owais said that Gund Qaisar Village has set an example for other regions by successfully achieving this milestone. He said, with the completion of tap water connections for all households, schools, and anganwadis, the village has not only improved the quality of life for its residents but also ensured the provision of a basic necessity that is vital for human health and development.
He said that this achievement has been made possible through efficient planning, proper execution and the support of the local community. He also said that the collaboration between District Administration and residents has played a crucial role in ensuring the availability of clean drinking water to every household, thereby contributing to improved health and hygiene standards in the region.
The DC and the entire administration congratulated the residents of Gund Qaisar Village for this exceptional achievement. Dr Owais said that the Administration is firm to ensure that the whole district achieves the milestone of ‘Har Ghar Jal’ as soon as possible.
He said that the Jal Shakti Department is letting no stone unturned to provide safe and healthy drinking water to the residents of Bandipora.
