Preparations for ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign reviewed at Kupwara

Kupwara: The Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori on Wednesday chaired a meeting of DDC Members and BDC Chairpersons, here to review the preparations for conduct of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the district.
Vice Chairman DDC, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat were also present in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairman impressed upon all the Council members to ensure utmost coordination with the concerned departments in the district to make the Campaign successful.
Earlier, the ADC Kupwara gave a detailed PowerPoint Presentation regarding the conduct of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign in the district. He said every Panchayat will join in offering collective tribute to the Mitti of the motherland which envisages remembering of brave hearts, Veer by erecting Memorial Plaque, taking the Panch Pran Pledge promising to nation building, renewing and replenishing Mother Earth by planting 75 saplings of long-lasting trees in each village, honouring Defense Personnel/CAPFs and state Police Personnel/Freedom Fighters and hoisting of National Flag, besides, singing of Rashtra Gaan.
The campaign website link https://yuva.gov.in/meri_maati_mera_desh was also shared with the PRIs for keeping themselves updated.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, ADC Kupwara convened a separate meeting of District/Sectoral Officers to review the progress of preparations made by the departments for conduct of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign in the district.
On the occasion, the ADC got detailed feedback from various officers regarding their Plan of activities for smooth conduct of the Campaign. He asked the officers to make a Nodal Official in each department for uploading work including updation of selfies on the website with proper specifications.
ACD, SDM Lolab, SDM Karnah, District Officers, Principals GDCs and other concerned attended the meeting.
