Shopian: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb on Tuesday visited Doompora village of the district to interact with people and take stock of ongoing development activities in the village.
The people of Doompora put forth issues of vital public importance including providing potable water facility, construction of bridge, connecting Doompora with Keegam and adjacent villages and other demands.
DC heard them patiently and assured that all the genuine issues of public importance will be solved within the stipulated time frame.
He also visited some development work sites along with officers.
Speaking on the occasion, DC said that the district is all set to achieve saturation in JJM Schemes.
He further said that the District Administration is actively involved in saturating targeted deliverables across all panchayats of Shopian.
The DC directed Jal Shakti authorities present on the occasion to speed up their under execution developmental works and leave no stone unturned in providing the quality water facility to the people.
The DC was accompanied by Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti, Abdul Rashid Wani, AEEs, and officers of concerned departments. A large number of people were present on the occasion.
