DC Bla review pace, progress of Works/Projects in the distt

Baramulla: In order to take an appraisal of physical and financial progress of various developmental works being executed in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish on Thursday presided over a meeting of concerned officers at DC Office Complex, here.
At the outset, the chair was appraised about the current status of different works besides a detailed sketch was presented about the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes including CSR.
After reviewing the sector wise progress of the works, Dr Sehrish Asgar impressed upon all the departments to complete the estimation, tendering and allotment of works within the timelines so that all the developmental works could be completed within the time bound manner.
The DC issued on the spot instructions to officers of concerned departments to strictly adhere to quality specifications and ensure close monitoring for quality of works. She asked the construction agencies to put in their best efforts to achieve the targets within a fixed timeframe.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, M.Yousuf Rather; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Gulzar Ahmad Khan; Chief Education Officer Baramulla, Chief Horticulture Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B/ PHE besides functionaries of other concerned departments.
