Jammu : A notorious Over Ground Worker (OGW) has been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Rajouri district.
The man has been detained under PSA after an order was issued by District Magistrate Rajouri.
Police in its official statement identified the detained man as Akbar Hussain, son of Muhammad Yousaf of Marutha Kanthol, Tehsil Kotranka.
Police team headed by SHO Kandi Shakil Manhas under the supervision of Deputy SP PC Rajouri, Shivendra Singh Jamwal executed the order and the man detained under PSA has been lodged in jail.
SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh said that no one will be allowed to disturb the peaceful order in the society and whosoever will be found involved in any kind of unlawful activity will have to face action as per the law.
He said that a few OGWs have already been detained under PSA for their activities, which have a big threat for society and this detention is part of these efforts to tighten noose against OGWs
