Ramban: The District Level Committee (DLC) met under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam to review the status regarding change of land use cases in the district, here on Monday.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Harbans Lal Sharma, ACR, Giasul Haq, Executive Engineers of PWD, Jal Shakti, CHO, CAO, Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussion was held with regard to the process of change in land use from agricultural to non-agricultural activities in the district. In this regard the DLC cleared 2 cases in favour of applicants after proper verification of documents and rules under land conversion.
The Deputy Commissioner enquired about the status of NOCs being issued in the favour of the applicants and applications received till date besides their reporting and follow up status.
The DC sasked the authorized departments to provide NOCs to applicants on a fast-track basis. Officers were asked to follow the detailed guidelines issued by the Government as per the latest provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Land Revenue Act, in letter and spirit.
