Srinagar: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah have congratulated young Greater Kashmir journalist, Zehru Nissa for bagging the prestigious International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) Global Health Reporting Award 2017 at New York, USA.
In his message, Dr. Farooq Abdullah while congratulating Zehru Nissa, her family and the team of Greater Kashmir said this was a sign of encouragement and motivation for young girls in Kashmir and would go a long way in inspiring them to excel in not only journalism but their respective professional fields.
“We are all very proud of Ms. Zehru Nissa for bringing laurels to the State and wish her the very best in her future endeavours”, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said.
In his message on the occasion, National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah felicitated Ms. Zehru Nissa, her family and Greater Kashmir on this achievement and said this would go a long way in inspiring young journalists in the State to work with dedication, probity and objectivity in highlighting crucial issues that directly affect our people in their day-to-day lives.
Senior National Conference Leaders including NC General Secretary Mr. Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Chief Spokesperson Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani and State Spokesperson Junaid Azim Mattu have also congratulated the young journalist on bagging the prestigious ICFJ award.
