Srinagar : Police under the Civic Action Programme have organised a medical/mental health camp at Shunglipora Khag Budgam.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarter Srinagar, the camp was attended by about 200 people with enthusiasm. A team of doctors headed by Dr. Razai Medical Officer DPL Budgam participated as health experts in the camp. The patients and general public were provided with free medicines like analgesics, antibiotics, multivitamins, antiparasitic’s besides some patients were also given anti-depressants, anti-hypertensives, anti-diabetics. Besides, detailed awareness & information regarding healthy lifestyle, routine medical checkups, deficiency diseases, metabolic diseases, mental health and infectious diseases was also disseminated.
The efforts of Police were met with appreciation & gratitude from the people. It is an endeavour of Budgam police to organise such programs regularly in far-flung and inaccessible areas of the district.
