DDC Kupwara chairs Mega Block/ Municipal Diwas at Langate

Officers directed to remove bottlenecks in coordination with Admin, PRIs

Kupwara: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Wednesday chaired a Mega Block-cum-Municipal Diwas at Public Park Langate to listen to the issues and grievances of the general public at their doorsteps.
President Municipal Committee Langate, DDC Member Mawar, BDC Chairperson Langate, CMO, CAO, AD Food, AD Fisheries, BDO, BMO Engineers from Jal Shakti, PDD, R&B, besides, PRIs and people in large number attended the Block Diwas function.
On the occasion, the DDC stressed upon all officers and field functionaries to ensure last mile outreach of Government schemes and welfare programmes so that the people shall come forward to take the benefit under these schemes.
She said that the 3-tier Panchayati Raj System has come into being to ensure smooth development at grassroots level in collaboration with administration.
She urged the PRIs and people to prioritize the works for their timely completion.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to resolve the bottlenecks in coordination with administration and PRIs to ensure uninterrupted and smooth development.
Earlier, PRIs including BDC Chairperson, President MC, local Sarpanchs and senior citizens spoke and raised their developmental issues and grievances pertaining to water supply, establishment of Degree College Langate etc.
The DDC heard their issues patiently and directed the concerned officers to ensure that all genuine issues are resolved, timely.
Meanwhile, Block Diwas programme was also held at Sogam of Lolab subdivision which was chaired by SDM Lolab, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat.
At Gundigujran Tangdar of Karnah sub division, Block Diwas programme was chaired by SDM Karnah, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Rather.
During these programmes, PRIs and people in large numbers participated and raised their day to day developmental issues with the officers for resolution.
