Jammu: Amid chants of ‘Bom Bom Bhole’, a fresh batch of 6684 pilgrims on Sunday left for Amarnath Cave Shrine here from Bhagwati Nagar Base camp.
An official said that a batch of 6684 pilgrims left the base camp in a convoy of 241 vehicles.
As many as 3686 pilgrims (2734 males, 796 females, two children, 133 sadhus and 21 sadhvis) left for Pahalgam in a convoy of 132 vehicles.
For Baltal, 2998 pilgrims (1764 males, 1195 females, 32 children, seven sadhus) left in a convoy of 109 vehicles amid tight security arrangements.
An official said that with 21401 Shri Amarnath pilgrims having darshan on Saturday, the total count of yatris surpassed the two lakh mark in the first half of the month of July this year.
He said that an aggregate of 208415 devotees undertook the pilgrimage during the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
15510 males, 5034 females, 617 Children, 238 Sadhus and 02 Sadhvis performed darshan on Saturday, he added.
Among the pilgrims was a Ukrainian lady who shared her views about pilgrimage and appreciated the smooth arrangements besides praising passionate support from people, the official said.
The yatra started on July 1 and will conclude on August 31.
