ADC inspects Muharram arrangements at Imam-Bargah Poonch

Poonch: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik on Saturday conducted a visit to the Imam-Bargah Poonch to assess the arrangements put in place for Muharram.
The visit was aimed at ensuring that all necessary arrangements are put in place to facilitate the peaceful observance of Muharram.
During the visit, the representatives of the Shia community and the local Ward councillor raised their demands and concerns.
The ADC was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Poonch, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, Tehsildar Haveli, Anjum Bashir Khan Khattak, ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood, Predhyum Atri, Naib Tehsildar Haveli, Maroof Khan, CEO MC Poonch, Mohd Hanief, as well as officials from JPDCL and Jal-Shakti.
The community representatives highlighted the need for adequate security during the Muharram procession and other religious gatherings. They also demanded availability of adequate facilities such as water, electricity, and sanitation.
The ADC assured the representatives that all necessary arrangements would be made to ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram. He directed the officials accompanying him to take immediate action to address the concerns raised by the representatives of the community and the Ward councillor.
