Hakeem demand adequate arrangement for Muharram in Khansahib, B’gam areas

Srinagar : Chaiman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (JKPDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Tuesday called for foolproof Muhharam arrangemets in various areas of Jammu and kashmir including shia dominated areas of Budgam and Khansahib . He said Muhharum is one of the holliest religious affairs , reverred by Muslim Ummah to commemorate and observe the matyredom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions.
Ina statement issued from party headquarters here, Hakeem while highlighting the significance of Muhharam , has urged the administration to make all the required arrangements to facilitate the people especially devotees of Hazrat Imam Hussain ( AS) to observe religious event smoothly with full religious fervour and sanctity. He has urged for ensuring availability of uninterrupted water and power supply in and around various Imambaras and shia dominated areas adding that all the roads, lanes and inner links leading to various Imambaras should be repaired and black topped in advance .He has also urged for launching a sustined cleanliness drive in all shia dominated areas by pooling men and machinery of concerned local bodies and Municipal bodies .He has asked the administration to press into service additional water tankers in various Shia dominated areas so that devotees do not face any inconvenience . He has demanded additional quote of ration,sugar ,L P G and kerosine to the consumers adding that availability of essential commodities should be ensured in the market. He has also urged for intensifying market checking to keep prices of essential commodities under control.
The PDF Chairman has also urged for making LED lighting arrangements in and around various Imambaras. He has asked field agencies and engineers of various departments of district Budgam to conduct a thorough visit to about 15 Shia dominated villages of Khansahib constituency to make necessary arrangements on the eve of Muharam-ul-Haram.
Besides, PDF chief also urged for making adequate medical facilities in all the Shia dominated areas of Bugam and Khansahib including First Aid camps and additional Ambulance services.
