Jammu: The Army jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself while on duty in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, Police sources said on Friday.
Reports said the soldier identified as Sepoy Dombale Mayur Laxman of Maharashtra allegedly shot himself dead with his service weapon while performing duty at Maheshwar Gate, police said.
“The dead body has been shifted to mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for further proceeding,” they said. Police have taken cognizance and started the investigation
